Olokurto Secondary school, besides being in the same division and neighborhood as its younger sister, Olokurto Primary school, they have one thing in common. They have both benefited from LATF from the County Council of Narok. With the on going Rural Electrification Program coming home to the Olokurto Division, The Principal - Mr Stephen Ajanga did not want his school to be left behind. He requested for assistance from the council to be able to purchase and install the electrical's for the whole school.

These included, Cables, Switches, Electrical Sockets, Lights, Bulbs Meter Box, Security Lights and many other details all totaling to a tune of close to Kshs 700,000. His request was approved and currently, the status of the project is about to be completed. All the electrical fittings have been done and all the blocks in the compound connected using the Underground cables. This has left the compound safe and neat with all the dangerous cable safely tacked away underground. In a recent review, he only needs to have the school connected to the mains, in a matter of days after the new Meter box is installed by the 20th Feb 2010.
This he believes will boost the morale of both the students and teachers alike. The security stature in the building will be improved by having a well lit environment even at night.
